CATCHING FIRE by Suzanne Collins

So as promised, tonight I am writing about the sequel to The Hunger Games, Catching Fire.

The book was better than the first! There were certainly some major twists, and there was so much pressure on the characters that it was a rather intense book.

The situations and the conditions that the characters (mainly Katniss and Peeta) are thrown into are ridiculous and almost inconceivable. However, reading about said sircumsances is most thrilling.

I believe this book will keep anyone on edge, and it may even make you nervous as you read it. It is a great book, and I truly can not wait until the third one is released.
The only bad thing about the book is the major cliff-hanger at the end. (Which wouldn't be so bad if us readers did not have to wait till August for number three.)

All in all *****(5 stars)

That's all from me!

THE HUNGER GAMES by Suzanne Collins

So as my first official "review" I am choosing a book that I love dearly. For the first few (blogs?) I will be getting my footing so to speak on this whole process, and it has been a while since I read some of the first books, so again I ask for patience.

Okay so to the good part....THE HUNGER GAMES!
When I first read it I was captivated instantly. I could not put it down for the life of me, that was how good the book was/is.
If you are a feminist, and all for an awesome kick butt heroine, this is the book for you, if you don't mind the mild violence and the whole concept of the Games themselves. (Not to say that guys wont enjoy this book. It is a book that almost anyone can fins something intriguing in.)

The ideas that go into how the capitol works were fascinating. (spoiler alert) It was a brilliant set up for the second book (Catching Fire review coming to you sometime tomorrow).

The book kept me guessing and I truly enjoyed reading it. I personally think it would make a brilliant movie, but I fear that no director or screen play writer could do the story justice. I do not want a book such as this to be subject to the misinterpretation that Hollywood so often brings on its literary victims.

Collins did a beautiful job climbing inside Katniss's head (the heroine) and grabbed me (the reader) to the point that I felt as if I was feeling everything that she was.

So now I am rambling...all in all a ***** (5 star) rating from me.

COOLNESS, leave comments and discuss the book if you wish (if anyone is actually reading this), because that would be AWESOME :D

That is it from me!

hello there world of blogging

Okay world, my name is Court...technically Courtney as I am sure you have figured out.
So my purpose on this here blog is really just to talk about books I like, or dislike. Also to get some awesome book recommendations...
RULES!
-Please be respectful of my opinions (although I doubt very many people will read this) and in return I will be open to your ideas too.
-If I am working on a series please don't spoil it for me...I hate that.
-Give me books to read! Of course I have my own reading agenda but I like to learn what other people are reading.

Okey dokey so a bit about me...Well obviously I love to read. I also love to write but I have not come across a storyline I personally can stick to long enough to finish it. I love music. I love fiction the most. (I'm a teen so I mostly read young adult books but I will read other things too.) I do not claim to be broadly read, I just enjoy books and hope that the world of instant media has not destroyed my generations will to put down the remote and pick up a book. Yup that about sums it all up, hopefully some ideas coming up :D
